Branch Manager - Wholesale Electrical - Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire
My client is seeking to appoint a Branch Manager for their site near Huntingdon. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A RELEVANT ELECTRICAL WHOLESALE INDUSTRY BACKGROUND or be a qualified Electrician and have the technical or product knowledge. This role would also suit a highly experienced Trade Counter Salesperson, looking for that next step up.
Prime Objective To maximise branch profitability of existing business.
Generate profitable new business to meet sales and profit targets and to be aware of trends and opportunities in the market place including the activities of competitors. You should at all times adopt a positive attitude and to act in a courteous and professional manner in dealings with customers, suppliers and staff. To control branch overheads within the budgeted targets and improve gross profit margins by encouraging add on sales and sales of high profit.
To lead, motivate and train the branch team to provide the highest levels of service to our customers and to carry out regular appraisals to ensure performance standards are being achieved.
To control the branch stocks within the guidelines laid down by the company.
To ensure that the branch premises are kept in good order and that the premises are clean, tidy, safe and well organised.
To organise and use the resources available at the branch in manner which optimises the Company?s investment.
To ensure that all Head Office procedures and controls are strictly adhered to.
To ensure that all statutory requirements are met e.g. Health and Safety, Quality Management ISO 9002.
To ensure that disciplinary and grievance procedures are carried out in accordance with company rules.
Not to divulge any company information to any third party, which may be beneficial to any competitor and harmful to the company.
To develop a sound and profitable customer base of regular customers and to maintain a friendly liaison with these customers.
