Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced BigID Engineer to support enterprise-wide data governance, privacy, and data retention initiatives across a complex technology landscape. As a BigID Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the BigID platform across multiple enterprise data sources. You will enable automated data discovery, classification, retention, and governance while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful platform adoption and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and maintain the BigID platform and associated modules
  • Configure data discovery, classification, tagging, and retention capabilities
  • Enable policy-driven governance across enterprise data environments
  • Maintain platform configuration and operational documentation
  • Develop data ingestion pipelines for scanning and retention
  • Configure connectors for databases, cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and file systems
  • Onboard new enterprise data sources into BigID
  • Integrate BigID with existing data platforms and governance processes
  • Implement enterprise data retention policies and workflows
  • Support compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements
  • Improve enterprise data visibility and governance capabilities
  • Collaborate with governance SMEs to implement policy-driven controls
  • Optimise scanning performance and platform efficiency
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guidance
  • Support continuous improvement across governance and data management processes

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting BigID
  • Strong data engineering and ETL pipeline development experience
  • SQL and NoSQL database expertise
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data privacy
  • Experience onboarding enterprise data sources
  • Knowledge of data discovery and classification technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
