Middleweight Interior Designer\nLocation: Chelmsford\nSalary: £29-33,000\n\nI am seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Middleweight Interior Designer to join a welcoming team based in Chelmsford. The well-established firm works across diverse sectors including hospitality, residential, and healthcare, consistently delivering creative, client-focused solutions. With a well-established reputation, they pride themselves on building long-lasting relationships with their clients.\n\nOn Offer:\n\nCollaborative studio environment with a team of approximately 15 professionals.\nFull-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.\nFour weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays.\nAdditional gifted leave between Christmas and New Year.\nCompany pension scheme.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and support interior design projects through all stages, from feasibility and concept design to construction and handover.\nDevelop innovative design concepts and prepare presentation materials for client meetings.\nProduce high-quality technical drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections and bespoke joinery details.\nPrepare FF&E specifications, source products and obtain supplier quotations.\nCoordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.\nAttend site visits and project meetings, monitoring progress and resolving design-related queries.\nManage snagging activities and support projects through to successful completion.\nKeep abreast of industry developments, design trends, materials and regulatory requirements.\n\nRequirements\n\nSufficient experience within commercial interior design.\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.\nStrong portfolio showcasing hospitality, workplace and/or hotel projects.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; rendering software experience would be advantageous.\nExcellent design, space planning and technical detailing skills.\nExperience presenting concepts to clients and managing stakeholder relationships.\nStrong understanding of FF&E specification, material selection and supplier coordination.\nExcellent organisational, communication and time management skills, together with a full UK driving licence.To apply, please call Sophie on (phone number removed) or alternatively, send your CV across to (url removed).
